The Education for Tomorrow Alliance team is excited to host the annual Youth Leadership Academy for high school sophomores and juniors in Montgomery County, Texas. During the three-and-a-half days of training, students will have the opportunity to meet community leaders, develop new skills, explore their strengths, plan for the future, and interact with other students.
To be eligible, a student must demonstrate interest and must meet the following criteria:
Be a 10th-grade or 11th-grade student in the Fall of 2026
Attend school or live in Montgomery County, Texas. If you have questions about your eligibility please reach out to EfTA.
Be in good academic standing
Be able to attend each session from July 7th- July 10th
Submit a complete application and the $125 program fee. (Need-based scholarships are available. Please speak with your school's College and Career Counselor for more information.)

Congratulations to senior Logan Day for being named the NATIONAL Journalist of the Year — the only award of its kind anywhere — at the JEA/NSPA National Journalism Convention in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He is one of only NINE students from Texas to ever win the award, besting the five finalists from Florida, California, Kansas, Missouri and Michigan.

CCHS is excited to welcome agents from Artavia for an in depth tour of our campus!

Senior Logan Day found out he is a finalist for the NATIONAL High School Journalist of the Year on Thursday night at the national journalism convention in Minneapolis. He now faces five other students for the national title after previously winning the Texas contest in March. Day is the executive editor of Caney Creek Student Media, and he will learn the results of the overall contest Saturday afternoon. All of Texas is cheering for Caney Creek and Logan!


Caney Creek’s own Delaney Miller, Montgomery County Fair Queen, took time out of her busy schedule to visit Caney Creek and Dr Stichler!
