Mission & History

The mission statement of Caney Creek High School is to provide a challenging, coordinated, and personalized education that leads to academic, social, and vocational success, by fostering:

  • a Commitment to excellence

  • the ideal of Courage to never give up

  • and Pride in our achievement.

Caney Creek High School, located in Conroe, Texas, opened in 1996 as Conroe ISD's fourth high school to serve the growing communities in the eastern part of Conroe ISD.

Originally built to alleviate overcrowding at Conroe High School, it has expanded over the years with new facilities and programs to accommodate its increasing student population, a strong Panther Nation with ared and black Panther mascot.

The school has seen numerous renovations and expansions, including upgraded athletic facilities, fine arts spaces, and technology-driven classrooms to support evolving educational needs.

Today, Caney Creek High School continues to grow, offering diverse extracurricular opportunities and advanced coursework to prepare students for college and careers through academic achievement, athletics and extracurricular activities, fine arts, and career-focused programs.

In the 2026-2027 school year, Caney Creek High School's Ninth Grade campus will open, and the main campus will serve Grades 10-12.
