Parents of seniors are also encouraged to purchase a senior tribute ad, a special space in the back of the yearbook where families can upload photos and write a personal message to their graduate — a keepsake that will last a lifetime.
"When these students write, design and shoot for the yearbook, they're writing for 20, 30, 40 years later, not for the day of distribution," adviser Stephen Green said. "People often forget that a yearbook might not mean much to a student in the moment, but those memories do decades later. I know this because I get their phone calls asking if we still have copies for sale and, very often, we don't. It's so important to get them now or risk missing out."
NEW THIS YEAR
This year marks a major change for Caney Creek Student Media: after five years of producing the book independently, the program has partnered with Jostens, one of the nation’s leading yearbook companies.
"For so long, we chose to self-publish because of the cost factor," Green said. "The leadership team wanted to keep the cost of the yearbook as low as possible. Most yearbook companies couldn't go that low; Jostens came at us with a compelling offer that didn't require to raise the price of the yearbook any more than we already had planned to."
This partnership also allows families to have more purchase options and adds new features, including:
High-quality hardcover yearbooks
Personalized name stamps and icons
